Removal Procedure
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Remove the intake air duct.
3. Remove the upper alternator mounting bolt (14mm).
4. Remove the serpentine belt by loosening the tensioner bolt and slipping the belt off the pulleys.
5. Jack up the car and support it on jack stands.
6. Remove the right front wheel.
7. Remove the plastic access panel from inside the wheel well.
8. Locate the lower alternator mounting bolt and remove it (12mm).
9. Pull the alternator out of its mounting bracket.
10. Detach the electrical connections to the alternator.
11. Lift the alternator out and remove it from the engine bay.
Installation Procedure:
1. Place the alternator in the engine bay and align it with the mounting bracket
2. Attach the electrical connections to the alternator.
3. Install the lower alternator mounting bolt and tighten it securely (12mm)
4. Insert the alternator mounting bracket through the opening in the engine bay and tighten the upper mounting bolt (14mm).
5. Put the plastic access panel back in the wheel well.
6. Lower the car and reinstall the right front wheel.
7. Reinstall the serpentine belt.
8. Reinstall the intake air duct.
9. Reinstall the negative battery terminal.
