How do you fit a new washer pump to peugeot 306?

Tools and materials needed:

- New washer pump

- Socket set

- Flat head screwdriver

- Pliers

- Water container

Instructions:

1. Prepare the car. Park the car on a level surface and turn off the engine. Engage the parking brake and chock the wheels. Turn on the hazard lights and be sure the car is in 'park' if its an automatic. If the weather is cold make sure the washer reservoir has plenty of antifreeze in it.

2. Locate the washer pump. The washer pump is usually located in the bottom of the washer fluid reservoir. The reservoir is usually located in the engine bay and on 306s is next to the expansion tank.

3. Disconnect the electrical connector. Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry open the locking tab on the electrical connector. Then, pull the connector straight up to disconnect it.

4. Disconnect the washer hoses. Use a pair of pliers to squeeze the release tabs on the washer hoses. Then, pull the hoses straight up to disconnect them.

5. Remove the old washer pump. Use a socket set to remove the bolts that hold the washer pump in place. Then, lift the pump straight up to remove it.

6. Install the new washer pump. Set the new washer pump in place and secure it with the bolts. Then, reconnect the washer hoses and the electrical connector.

7. Test the washer pump. Turn on the ignition and turn on the windshield wipers. The washer pump should start working and spray washer fluid onto the windshield.

Tips:

- If the washer pump does not work, check the electrical connector to make sure it is properly connected.

- If the washer hoses are not properly connected, it will spray washer fluid inside the engine bay.

- Be sure to test the washer pump before you put everything back together.
