Detach the air filter assembly from the engine head. Loosen the two nuts on the metal air intake tube and remove it. Remove the three bolts that hold the filter housing to the engine head and remove the assembly.
Expose the clutch hydraulic line by removing the battery tray and the ECU box. Remove the two nuts that hold the battery tray in place and remove the tray. Remove the two bolts that hold the ECU box in place and remove the box.
Unclip and remove the clutch line retainer clip. Use a screwdriver to pop off the metal retainer clip that holds the clutch hydraulic line in place. Slide the line off of the retainer. This will allow you to move the clutch line out of the way so that you can remove the slave cylinder.
Remove the upper master cylinder hydraulic fitting and remove the clutch line. Use an adjustable wrench or socket wrench to loosen the bleeder fitting at the top of the clutch master cylinder, located near the firewall. Remove the bleeder fitting. Remove the master cylinder hydraulic fitting. Slide the clutch line off the hydraulic fitting.
Clean the clutch slave cylinder fluid inlet with brake cleaner. Make sure that you have disconnected the clutch line from the slave cylinder and the master cylinder. Then spray some brake cleaner into the inlet on the clutch slave cylinder to remove any debris or dirt that may be present.
Install a new clutch slave cylinder. Align the new slave cylinder with the hydraulic fitting on the transmission. Slide it into place. Secure it into position with the two nuts that you previously removed. Tighten them using a 13 mm socket wrench.
Install the clutch line and fittings. Apply some brake fluid to the slave cylinder fluid inlet to help the clutch line slide on easily. Slide the clutch line onto the inlet. Tighten the inlet union connection with a wrench. Install the bleeder fitting and tighten it. Install the master cylinder hydraulic fitting.
Fill, then bleed the clutch hydraulic system. Install the reservoir cap and fill the reservior to the "MAX" line with ATE DOT 4 brake fluid. Then bleed the clutch system with a brake bleeder kit to remove any air present.
Reattach the ECU box and battery tray, then reconnect the air intake tube. Install the three bolts that hold the ECU box in place and tighten them using a 10mm socket wrench. Install the two nuts that hold the battery tray in place and tighten them.
Test drive your car. Test the clutch pedal and ensure it engages and disengages properly.
