1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the air inlet hose from the throttle body.
3. Remove the serpentine belt.
4. Remove the bracket that holds the power steering pump in place.
5. Remove the bolt that holds the alternator in place.
6. Remove the alternator from the engine compartment.
7. Reverse the steps to install the new alternator.
Tips
- Make sure that the new alternator is the correct size and amperage for your vehicle.
- Be careful not to drop the alternator when you are removing it from the vehicle.
- It may be helpful to have a second person help you with this job.
