How do you change cabin filter in 1998 BMW 328is?

Tools

* Phillips-head screwdriver

* New cabin air filter

* Vacuum cleaner with an upholstery brush attachment

Instructions:

1. Pull the floor mat back on the passenger’s side of the vehicle and remove the storage box plastic cover (if present).

2. Remove the two Phillips head screws that hold the glove box into the dashboard. This will reveal the passenger side front lower cover.

3. Remove the two plastic cover pieces in this area by depressing the tabs and removing the bolts behind them.

4. Remove the bottom cover first (on the passenger's lower left).

5. Remove the top portion (above and to the right of the bottom portion).

6. Now, look for the cabin filter holder inside the exposed area by the lower cover you just removed. It will be a rectangular compartment with a black cover.

7. Remove the cabin air filter by opening it and pulling it towards you.

8. Clean out any debris from the compartment with the vacuum cleaner.

9. Slide the new cabin air filter into the compartment.

10. Be sure the filter is properly seated and then replace the top and bottom covers you removed earlier.

11. Replace the Phillips-head screws and storage box plastic cover (if present).

12. That's it - you're all done!

Tip: Replace your cabin air filter at least every 12 months or as necessary. A new filter will help to keep the air inside your vehicle clean and free of dust, pollen, and other pollutants.
