How to remove sharpie from car paint using whole milk   

Things you’ll need:  

  • Whole milk   
  • Car wash solution  
  • Cotton cloth   
  • Towels   
  • Water  

Step 1   

Whole milk is an excellent permanent marker cleaner, and it can effectively remove the marker without corroding the car’s paint. You can also use whole milk to remove pen ink.   

First, apply the whole milk on the stains caused by sharpie or permanent markers. However, you should not apply it directly. Soak a cotton cloth with whole milk and then place it on the stain. Before moving on to the next step, ask someone to hold the cloth.   

Step 2  

Next, soak a terry towel with cold water and place it on top of the cotton cloth to add some weight onto it and prevent the cotton cloth from falling. The cotton-soaked cloth will be in close contact with the permanent marker stain and make the cleaning process easier.  

Step 3    

Once the cloth and towel are correctly placed, allow them to be on the affected area for five to six hours. The mile will loosen up the marker stains in this duration. Lift the cloth after six hours to check the spot. If you still notice the stain, some more milk to the cotton cloth and allow it to stay overnight.   

Step 4

Now remove the towel and milk-soaked cloth off the car. Next, wash the marker stains and the milk using a car wash solution and washing mitt. Rinse and dry the surface using a microfiber towel till the moisture is gone.  

Step 5

This is an additional step. If you still notice the sharpie stains, apply some aerosol hair spray onto the stain. Clean the area using a clean cloth afterward.
