You look at your phone quickly to read a text or take your hands off the wheel to eat or drink. It may seem harmless but the time you are distracted is usually longer than you realize. A lot can happen in a couple seconds when you are distracted. NARPRO wants your help to be a voice in our community to educate on the dangers of distracted driving.
When you find yourself distracted, maybe it is a good idea to pull over for a minute. Then you can take the phone call, send the text, or finish your burger. It could also be a good idea to put your phone out of reach or turn off the ringer while driving.
