- Compressor clutch/coil assembly or relay circuit. In this case, you should test the compressor clutch or coil assembly. Additionally, you should check the relay circuit.
- AC compressor belt. If the belt is loose, replace or adjust the belt.
- Refrigerant pressure. If the pressure is too low or too high, the engine may die. Check the refrigerant level and pressure.
- Thermostat. If the thermostat is stuck open, the engine will run too cool and not be able to produce enough heat to keep the AC compressor from cycling on and off. Replace the thermostat if it is stuck open.
- Throttle body. If the throttle body is dirty, it can cause the engine to stall or die. Clean the throttle body.
- Mass air flow sensor. A dirty or faulty mass air flow sensor can cause the engine to run lean, which can lead to stalling. Clean or replace the mass air flow sensor.
- Fuel pump. If the fuel pump is weak, it may not be able to supply enough fuel to the engine when the AC is on. Replace the fuel pump.
- Power control module. If the power control module is bad it may not be sending enough power to the AC compressor. Try resetting the power control module or replace it if necessary.
