How you put the seats down in a Honda CR-V?

Honda CR-V First Generation (1997–2001):

1. Pull up the "Release Handle" on the rear seat.

2. Pull the seat upwards on the side next to the "Release Handle".

3. Let the seat back fall down.

Honda CR-V Second Generation (2002–2006):

1. Tilt your seat all the way forward.

2. Pull the "Release Handle" next to the seat until you hear a double-click.

3. Pull up the back of the seat until the release handle locks into the slot on the side.

4. Repeat for the other half.

Honda CR-V Third Generation (2007–2011):

1. Pull the seatback release handle up and toward the center of the vehicle until the seatback clicks.

2. Lower the seatback slowly.

Honda CR-V Fourth Generation (2012–2016):

1. Pull the "Release Handle" all the way up on the seatback until you hear the release lock disengage.

2. Pull up on the seatback to disengage the top seat hooks from the body hooks.

3. Repeat on the other side.

4. Tilt the seat forward and press the seat bottom down fully.

Honda CR-V Fifth Generation (2017–2022):

1. Move the front seats to their forwardmost positions.

2. Pull the release lever on the rear headrests to slide them down (if equipped).

3. Pull up on the seatback release lever until the seatback clicks forward (located towards the side of the vehicle).

4. Push down on the top middle portion of the seatback to disengage the seat hooks.

5. Fold the seatback down.

Honda CR-V Sixth Generation (2023–Present):

1. Move the front seats to their forwardmost positions.

2. Pull up the seatback release lever until the seatback clicks forward (located on the side of the seat).

3. Fold down the seatback.
