What age or weight must a front seat passenger be in CT?

Connecticut's child passenger safety laws require specific child restraint devices based on the child's age, height, and weight. Children weighing less than 40 pounds must be secured in a federally approved child safety seat (CSS), while those weighing between 40 and 80 pounds may instead be secured with a belt-positioning booster seat.
