• Repair – This is the most cost-effective option as only specified parts are replaced instead of the entire transmission. It simply involves taking corrupted parts from the transmission and replacing them with working or new components. The downside is that only that part will be warranted. There is no guarantee that the other parts won’t break down.
• Used Transmission – Used transmissions are usually sourced from insurance write-offs and are much cheaper than a rebuilt or remanufactured unit.
