The battery on a 2007 Harley Davidson Softail is located under the seat. To access the battery, follow these steps:
1. Remove the seat by lifting the front of the seat and pulling it back until it comes off the rear seat post.
2. Once the seat is removed, you will see a black cover on the right side of the bike. This cover is held in place by two screws.
3. Remove the two screws and lift the cover off the bike.
4. The battery will be located under the cover and held place with two 10mm nuts. Disconnect the battery cables by loosening these nuts.
5. Once the battery cables are disconnected, remove the battery from the bike.
The battery is a Yuasa YTX12-BS.
To reinstall the battery, follow these steps in reverse order:
1. Place the battery in the bike and install the two battery cables.
2. Tighten the two 10mm nuts to secure the battery cables.
3. Replace the black cover on the right side of the bike and secure it with the two screws.
4. Replace the seat by sliding it onto the rear seat post and tightening it until it is secure.
