1. Remove the air filter and fuel line from the carburetor.
2. Using a flat-head screwdriver, turn the idle speed screw clockwise until it stops.
3. Next, turn the air/fuel mixture screw counterclockwise until it stops.
4. While slowly turning the air/fuel mixture screw clockwise, turn the idle speed screw counterclockwise until the engine begins to run smoothly.
5. Continue adjusting the two screws until the engine is running smoothly at a steady idle and responsive when you twist the throttle.
6. Reconnect the fuel line and air filter.
