How do you remove the battery on a 1986 suzuki vs 700 intruder?

To remove the battery on a 1986 Suzuki VS700 Intruder:

1. Make sure the motorcycle engine is off and cool to the touch.

2. Locate the battery, which is behind the left air filter cover on the left side of the motorcycle.

3. Remove the air filter cover by removing the four Phillips-head screws.

4. Disconnect the negative battery cable by loosening the nut that secures the cable to the negative battery terminal.

5. Disconnect the positive battery cable by loosening the nut that secures the cable to the positive battery terminal.

6. Lift the battery out of the motorcycle.

Note: Be careful not to drop the battery, as it is heavy and could damage the motorcycle if dropped.
