.Check your owner’s manual. Different vehicle models may have different seat removal instructions, so be sure to check your manual for specific directions before starting.
.Turn off the engine and disconnect any electric loads. Uncouple any connected accessories, such as GPS devices, phone chargers, or auxiliary speakers, from the power source.
.Locate the seat bolts. The seat bolts are usually located at the base of the seat, either in front of or behind the seat rails.
.Loosen the seat bolts but don't remove them completely. Use a wrench or socket to loosen the bolts but leave them in place for now.
.Slide the seat forward or backward, as necessary, to access the battery. Once the bolts are loosened, you should be able to slide the seat forward or backward to access the battery.
.Disconnect the battery cables. The battery cables are typically black (negative) and red (positive). Disconnect the negative cable first, then the positive cable.
.Remove the battery from the vehicle. Once the cables are disconnected, you can remove the battery from the vehicle.
Note: When reinstalling the seat, be sure to tighten the bolts securely. Loose bolts can be dangerous and may cause the seat to become unstable.
