1. Turn off the engine and allow the motorcycle to cool down.
2. Locate the battery compartment. The battery is located under the seat on the right side of the motorcycle.
3. Remove the seat by lifting it up and off of the bike.
4. Disconnect the negative (black) battery terminal cable. This is the negative terminal because it will be connected to the negative (ground) terminal on the battery.
5.Remove the battery hold-down bolt and remove the battery from the compartment.
6. Insert the new battery into the compartment and secure it with the hold-down bolt.
7. Reconnect the positive (red) battery terminal cable. This is the positive terminal because it will be connected to the positive (+) terminal on the battery.
8. Reconnect the negative (black) battery terminal cable.
9. Close and secure the seat.
