* Electricity: A hybrid electric system, featuring a 300-volt nickel-metal hydride battery pack, assisted the gasoline engine during acceleration and provided power for electric-only operation at low speeds.
Therefore, while the 2013 Tahoe did not have a hybrid option, the earlier 2008-2013 Tahoe Hybrid used a combination of gasoline and electricity.
