How do the hazard lights work on a 2003 Chevy Impala?

The hazard lights on a 2003 Chevy Impala work the same as on most cars: they flash all the turn signal lights simultaneously. There's a dedicated hazard light switch, usually located on the center console, often near the steering column.

To activate them:

1. Locate the hazard light switch: It's typically a button or switch with a picture of a triangle.

2. Press the switch: Pressing the button activates the hazard lights. All four turn signals (front and rear) will begin flashing.

3. Press the switch again: Pressing the button again will deactivate the hazard lights.

If your hazard lights aren't working, several things could be the problem: a blown fuse, a faulty switch, a problem in the wiring, or even burned-out bulbs in one or more of the turn signal lights. Checking the fuse first is usually the simplest troubleshooting step. Your owner's manual will show you the fuse box location and diagram.
