Where is the odometer cable attached on a transmission of 1998 Chevrolet truck?

A 1998 Chevrolet truck doesn't use an odometer *cable*. By that year, GM trucks (and most vehicles) had switched to electronic speed sensors for the speedometer and odometer. The speed sensor is located on the transmission, but it's a electronic sensor, not a cable-driven mechanical device. Therefore, there's no odometer cable to attach.
