To find it:
1. Locate the drier/accumulator: This is a cylindrical component, often metallic and sometimes with a sight glass, located near the front of the car, usually somewhere near the condenser (the larger, radiator-like component). It's part of the low-pressure side of the AC system.
2. Look for the service port: The low-pressure port will be a smaller fitting, often with a cap, on the drier/accumulator. It will usually be a Schrader valve, similar to the valve on a car tire. Sometimes there's a label indicating high and low pressure ports. The low-pressure port is usually identifiable by a smaller diameter fitting.
Important Note: Working with automotive A/C systems involves refrigerant handling, which can be hazardous. If you are not experienced and comfortable working with automotive A/C systems, it is strongly recommended to take your vehicle to a qualified mechanic for service. Improper handling of refrigerant can lead to injury or environmental damage.
