Where is the governor gear on a Chevy Suburban?

The governor gear isn't a single, easily identifiable part on a modern Chevy Suburban (or most modern vehicles). The function of a governor – controlling engine speed – is largely handled by electronic controls within the engine's computer system (ECM or PCM). There's no mechanical governor gear in the traditional sense like you might find in much older vehicles.
