The knock sensor on a 2000 Camaro SS (LS1 engine) is located on the driver's side of the engine block, near the back of the engine,
between the oil filter and the distributor (if applicable, some LS1s have coil packs instead). It's a small, threaded sensor. You'll likely need to get under the car to see it clearly.
Because of its location, accessing it might require removing or at least loosening some components for better visibility and reach. A service manual specific to your year and model Camaro would provide the most accurate instructions and diagrams.
