Where is the transmission switch located on a 1999 Ford Taurus?

The 1999 Ford Taurus doesn't have a separate "transmission switch" in the way some older cars might have a PRNDL lever switch for the column shifter. The transmission range selector (the PRNDL gear selector) itself contains the switches that tell the car's computer which gear is selected. There isn't a separate component to locate.
