While both are GM SUVs, it's
unlikely that the front seats from a 2000 Chevy Tahoe will fit directly into a 1997 Chevy Suburban without modification. Although they're similar vehicles, there were changes in chassis and seat mounting points between those model years. The bolt patterns and seat track configurations are probably different.
You'd need to compare the seat mounting points very carefully before attempting installation. Even if the bolt holes *seem* close, the seats might not sit correctly or be securely fastened. Attempting to force a fit could damage the seats or the Suburban's floor.
