No, Dodge vehicles (including Ram trucks) from 2008 and newer do not use Allison transmissions. Allison transmissions are primarily used in medium- and heavy-duty trucks, buses, and some specialized vehicles. Dodge/Ram trucks and other passenger vehicles in this timeframe used transmissions from other manufacturers, primarily variations of the Mercedes-Benz 5-speed and 6-speed automatics, and later the ZF 8-speed automatic.
