1. Locate the interior hood release lever. This is usually located near the driver's side footwell, often near the steering column or under the dashboard on the driver's side. It might be a small lever or a knob. It may have a symbol of a hood or car on it.
2. Pull the lever. Pull the lever firmly. You might hear a click or a release sound.
3. Open the hood. Go to the front of the car and locate the hood latch. It's usually near the center of the front grille or slightly offset to one side.
4. Lift the hood. After releasing the latch from inside the car, you should be able to lift the hood. There might be a small prop rod that you need to engage to hold the hood open.
If you can't find the interior release lever or if the lever doesn't seem to be working, you may need to consult your owner's manual for a diagram or more specific instructions. Sometimes, the cable that connects the lever to the latch can become disconnected.
