1. Locate the interior hood release lever: This is usually located under the dashboard, near the steering column, or sometimes on the driver's side, near the lower portion of the instrument panel. It might be a small lever or a knob. It could be hidden behind a small access panel. Look closely around the steering column and driver's side footwell.
2. Pull the lever: Once you've found the lever, pull it firmly. You should hear a clicking sound. This releases the secondary hood latch.
3. Open the hood: Go to the front of the vehicle. There should be a latch located near the center of the front grill area. You'll need to either lift the hood slightly from the front edge or press and release the release mechanism.
4. Support the hood: Most Blazers have a prop rod that automatically extends to hold the hood open. If it doesn't, you may need to manually prop it open to prevent it from closing unexpectedly.
If you can't find the interior release lever, consult your owner's manual. A diagram should show you exactly where it is located. If you don't have the owner's manual, you can often find a digital version online through a Chevy parts website or a site specializing in vehicle manuals.
