Can you drive a 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500 4x4 without the front shaft?
You can drive a 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500 4x4 without the front driveshaft, but only in 2WD. Driving it in 4WD without the front driveshaft will severely damage the transfer case. The front driveshaft is necessary to transfer power to the front axle when in 4WD. Driving in 4WD without it will cause binding and catastrophic failure.
