Turn off auto headlights in Camaro?

You can't completely disable automatic headlights on a Camaro (or most modern cars with this feature) in the way you might disable an option in a menu. The system is tied into the car's electrical system and often the light sensor. However, you can effectively achieve a similar result:

* Turn the headlight switch to the "off" position: This is the most straightforward method. Even with auto headlights enabled, manually switching them to the "off" position will override the automatic function. Your headlights will remain off until you manually turn them on, or until the car is turned off and then restarted. Keep in mind that your daytime running lights (DRLs) will likely still be on.

* (If applicable) Find a setting to disable DRLs: Some Camaros might have an option in the vehicle's settings menu to disable daytime running lights. This won't turn off the auto-headlight feature entirely, but it will prevent the headlights from automatically turning on during the day. Consult your owner's manual for details on this option, as it varies by model year and trim level.

Important Note: Driving with your headlights off at night or in low-visibility conditions is extremely dangerous and illegal in most places. While you can effectively override the automatic headlight feature, you should always ensure your headlights are on when necessary for safe driving.
