* Communication: Communicates with other modules within the vehicle (like the engine control module - ECM).
* Gauges and Indicators: Controls some indicator lights on the instrument cluster.
* Comfort features: May control things like seat position memory (depending on the model year and features).
Essentially, if it's an electrical feature related to the *body* of the Malibu and not directly to its movement, it likely is controlled or monitored by the BCM. If the BCM fails, many of these features could malfunction or stop working altogether.
