The fuel filter on a 1996 Chevy Lumina is located on the frame rail,
near the driver's side rear of the vehicle. It's usually close to the fuel tank, but not directly on it. It's a cylindrical canister and you'll likely need to get under the car to see it clearly.
Important Note: Always be extremely cautious when working around fuel lines and the fuel tank. Fuel is highly flammable. Disconnect the negative battery terminal before starting any fuel system work to prevent electrical sparks.
