1. Locate the clutch adjustment rod. It is located on the driver's side of the transmission, just below the shift linkage.
2. Loosen the locknut on the clutch adjustment rod.
3. Turn the clutch adjustment rod until the clutch pedal has 1/2 inch of free play.
4. Tighten the locknut.
5. Test the clutch pedal to make sure it has the proper amount of free play.
Note: If the clutch pedal does not have the proper amount of free play, it can cause the clutch to slip or chatter.
