Do not assume any ATF will work. Type F fluid has a specific friction modifier package crucial for the proper operation of that particular transmission. Using a different type of ATF can lead to slipping, harsh shifting, and ultimately, transmission failure. Stick with Type F. If you can't find Type F easily, consult a mechanic or a Jeep parts specialist; they may have a suitable replacement or equivalent.
