Dodge recommends using OAT (Organic Acid Technology) coolant, sometimes called "HOAT" (Hybrid Organic Acid Technology). Do NOT use traditional green antifreeze (IAT - Inhibitor Acid Technology) as it's incompatible and can cause serious damage to the cooling system.
If you're unsure what type of coolant is currently in your Caravan, it's best to flush the entire system and refill it with fresh OAT coolant. Check your owner's manual for specific recommendations and procedures. You can also find OAT coolant at most auto parts stores; look for coolant that specifically states it's compatible with aluminum engines and meets the correct specifications (often found on the container).
