2. Locate the underhood fuse block: It's usually a black plastic box located near the battery, often on the fender well or firewall.
3. Look for a fuse labeled "Headlights," "Headlamp," or a similar designation. The amperage rating might also be printed on the fuse. There might be separate fuses for high and low beams.
4. If you can't find a fuse clearly labeled for headlights, check for a relay: Relays are often used to switch the higher current draw of the headlights. These are usually square or rectangular components, and their location will also be in the underhood fuse block.
