85 Chevy 1ton van 454 carb or tbi?

A 1985 Chevy 1-ton van would have almost certainly come with a carbureted (carb) 454 engine, not TBI (Throttle Body Injection). TBI was introduced later in the GM lineup, and while some heavy-duty trucks might have gotten it around that time, it wasn't common in vans, especially 1-ton models. The 1-ton van's heavy-duty needs generally favored the simpler and more robust carbureted system in 1985.
