While there isn't a "firing order" in the traditional sense, there *is* a cylinder firing sequence. The firing order for the 4.2L V6 is 1-5-3-6-2-4.
This means that cylinder 1 fires first, then cylinder 5, then cylinder 3, and so on. The ECM ensures that the correct coil pack (which is directly over the corresponding spark plug) fires at the precise moment for each cylinder in that sequence.
So, there's no "order of firing" for the coil packs themselves, as each fires independently according to the ECM's control of the cylinder firing order.
