* Transmission End: The cable connects to the transmission's output shaft. You'll need to look under the truck, near the transmission. It's usually a fairly prominent cable with a fitting that screws into the transmission. * Instrument Cluster End: The other end of the cable connects to the back of the speedometer in the instrument cluster. To access this, you'll need to remove the instrument cluster bezel from the dashboard.
Because of the location, getting to either end often requires working in a somewhat cramped space. Be prepared to get dirty and potentially use a wrench or socket to disconnect the cable.
