1. Park your vehicle in a safe location and turn off the engine.
Be sure to park your vehicle on level ground and apply the parking brake.
2. Open the hood of your vehicle.
Locate the hood release lever inside your vehicle and pull it to release the hood. Then, raise the hood and secure it with the hood prop.
3. Locate the headlight bulb housing.
The headlight bulb housing is located behind the headlight lens. It is usually held in place by a series of screws or bolts.
4. Remove the screws or bolts that hold the headlight bulb housing in place.
Use a screwdriver or wrench to remove the screws or bolts that hold the headlight bulb housing in place. Be careful not to drop the screws or bolts.
5. Remove the headlight bulb housing.
Once the screws or bolts are removed, you can remove the headlight bulb housing. Be careful not to touch the headlight bulb with your bare hands, as this can damage the bulb.
6. Disconnect the electrical connector from the headlight bulb.
Locate the electrical connector that is connected to the headlight bulb. Disconnect the connector by pressing down on the tab and pulling it straight off of the bulb.
7. Remove the old headlight bulb.
Turn the headlight bulb counterclockwise to remove it from the housing. Be careful not to drop the bulb.
8. Install the new headlight bulb.
Insert the new headlight bulb into the housing and turn it clockwise until it is secure.
9. Reconnect the electrical connector to the headlight bulb.
Reconnect the electrical connector to the headlight bulb by pressing it into place until you hear a click.
10. Replace the headlight bulb housing.
Place the headlight bulb housing back into position and secure it with the screws or bolts that you removed earlier.
11. Close the hood of your vehicle.
Once the headlight bulbs are replaced, close the hood of your vehicle and secure it with the hood latch.
That's it! You have now successfully replaced the headlight bulbs on your Mazda MPV.
