Instructions:
1. Remove the negative battery terminal. This will prevent any electrical shock from occurring while you are working on the dimmer switch.
2. Locate the dimmer switch. It is usually located on the dashboard, near the steering wheel.
3. Remove the two screws that hold the dimmer switch in place.
4. Carefully remove the dimmer switch from the dashboard. Be careful not to drop it.
5. Disconnect the electrical wires from the dimmer switch. There are usually three wires: a red wire, a black wire, and a green wire.
6. Strip the ends of the wires by about 1/4 inch.
7. Connect the red wire to the red wire on the new dimmer switch.
8. Connect the black wire to the black wire on the new dimmer switch.
9. Connect the green wire to the green wire on the new dimmer switch.
10. Use crimpers to secure the connections.
11. Wrap the connections with electrical tape. This will help to prevent them from coming loose.
12. Reinstall the dimmer switch into the dashboard.
13. Secure the dimmer switch with the two screws.
14. Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
Test the dimmer switch:
1. Turn on the headlights.
2. Rotate the dimmer switch to adjust the brightness of the headlights.
The dimmer switch should now be working properly.
