To change the license plate lights on a 2000 Chevy Tracker, follow these steps:

1. Gather your tools and materials. You will need a Philips head screwdriver, a flat head screwdriver, and two new license plate light bulbs.

2. Park your Tracker in a well-lit area and turn off the engine.

3. Open the rear hatch of your Tracker.

4. Locate the two license plate light housings on either side of the license plate.

5. Use the Philips head screwdriver to remove the two screws that hold each license plate light housing in place.

6. Carefully pry the license plate light housing loose from the vehicle using the flat head screwdriver.

7. Twist the old license plate light bulb counterclockwise to remove it from the socket.

8. Insert the new license plate light bulb into the socket and turn it clockwise until it is secure.

9. Reattach the license plate light housing to the vehicle using the two screws that you removed earlier.
