2. Remove the air cleaner housing.
3. Remove the spark plug wires by grasping the boot and pulling straight up.
4. Use a 5/8-inch spark plug wrench to loosen the spark plugs.
5. Remove the spark plugs and inspect them for wear.
6. Replace the spark plugs with new ones if necessary.
7. Screw the spark plugs into the cylinder head by hand until they are seated.
8. Tighten the spark plugs with a 5/8-inch spark plug wrench to 18-22 foot-pounds.
9. Reconnect the spark plug wires.
10. Reinstall the air cleaner housing.
11. Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
