Method 1: Using a screwdriver:
1. Locate the ignition switch on the dashboard of the truck.
2. Insert a flat-head screwdriver into the ignition switch.
3. Gently turn the screwdriver clockwise until you feel resistance, then apply a bit more pressure to turn it further.
4. Continue turning the screwdriver until the engine starts.
Method 2: Using a hammer and screwdriver:
1. Open the hood of the truck.
2. Locate the distributor cap, which is usually black and round, near the engine.
3. Remove the distributor cap by gently prying it off with a screwdriver.
4. Inside the distributor, you'll see a rotor that contacts a metal contact point.
5. Hold a screwdriver or a piece of metal against the rotor and make contact with the metal contact point.
6. While doing this, ask someone to turn the ignition key or crank the engine. If you see a spark, it means that the engine is getting electrical power.
7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 until the engine starts.
Once you successfully start the engine using one of these methods, it's essential to have a new key made as soon as possible to ensure the continued security and safety of your vehicle.
