How do you replace the electric window switch in a 1999 Mazda miata?

1. Disconnect the battery. This will prevent any accidental electrical shocks while you are working.

2. Remove the door panel. There are usually a few screws or bolts that hold the door panel in place. Once you have removed the screws or bolts, you can carefully pry the door panel off of the door.

3. Locate the window switch. The window switch is usually located on the inside of the door panel. It is a small, rectangular box with a button or lever that you can use to move the window up and down.

4. Disconnect the electrical connector. There is a small electrical connector that connects the window switch to the wiring harness. Use a small screwdriver to pry the connector apart.

5. Remove the old window switch. Once you have disconnected the electrical connector, you can remove the old window switch by unscrewing the mounting screws.

6. Install the new window switch. Place the new window switch in the same position as the old one and secure it with the mounting screws.

7. Reconnect the electrical connector. Connect the electrical connector to the new window switch.

8. Test the window switch. Once you have reconnected the electrical connector, you can test the window switch by moving the button or lever up and down. The window should move up and down smoothly.

9. Reinstall the door panel. Carefully reinstall the door panel by snapping it back into place. Replace the screws or bolts that you removed earlier.

10. Reconnect the battery. Reconnect the battery and test the window switch one more time to make sure that it is working properly.
