1. Position your vehicle on level ground.
2. Park the vehicle and turn off the engine, allowing the engine oil to cool down
3. Safely raise your vehicle with jack stands (never rely solely on a jack to hold the vehicle up).
4. Position yourself underneath the vehicle, facing the passenger side.
5. Locate the oil pan, which is the lowest part of the engine. It is usually made of metal and is about the size of the license plate.
6. The drain plug is located at the bottom of the oil pan. It is usually about the size of a dime and has a hexagonal shape.
***Note: Before removing the oil drain plug, make sure to have a drain pan ready underneath to collect the oil.
