Here are the steps on how to replace the fuel filter on a 1988 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser:
1. Park the vehicle on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. Release the fuel system pressure. This can be done by removing the fuel cap and pressing the Schrader valve on the fuel injection rail.
3. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
4. Remove the fuel tank skid plate.
5. Disconnect the fuel lines from the fuel tank.
6. Lower the fuel tank from the vehicle.
7. Remove the fuel filter from the fuel tank.
8. Install the new fuel filter.
