* Spark plug socket (5/8-inch)
* Ratchet
* Spark plug gap gauge
* New spark plugs (4)
Instructions
1. Open the hood of your Intrepid and locate the spark plugs. They are located on the top of the engine, near the front.
2. Disconnect the ignition coil wire.
3. Remove the old spark plug by turning it counterclockwise with your spark plug socket.
4. Set the spark gap on the new spark plug using your gap gauge. The spark gap should be set to 0.044 inches.
5. Screw the new spark plug into place by turning it clockwise until it is snug.
6. Re-connect the ignition coil wire.
7. Repeat steps 2-6 for the remaining three spark plugs.
Tips
* It is important to change your spark plugs at the recommended intervals. This will help to keep your engine running smoothly and prevent misfires.
* Spark plugs can be difficult to remove, especially if they have been in the engine for a long time. If you are having trouble removing the spark plugs, you may want to use a spark plug extractor.
* Be sure to re-connect the ignition coil wire properly. A loose connection can cause the engine to misfire.
