- Blown fuse: Check the fuses in the fuse box located under the hood of your truck. There should be a fuse labeled "dash/running lights" or something similar. If the fuse is blown, replace it with a new fuse of the same amperage.
- Faulty light switch: The light switch is responsible for turning on the dash and running lights. If the light switch is faulty, it may not be able to send power to the lights. Try wiggling the light switch to see if the lights come on. If they do, the light switch may need to be replaced.
- Bad ground: A bad ground can prevent the lights from getting power. Check the ground wires that are located near the light bulbs. Make sure the ground wires are clean and securely connected. If the ground wires are corroded, clean them with a wire brush and reconnect them.
- Faulty wiring: The wiring that connects the light switch to the lights may be faulty. Inspect the wiring for any damage or corrosion. If the wiring is damaged, repair or replace it.
- Faulty light bulbs: The dash and running lights may not be working because the light bulbs are burned out. Check the light bulbs to see if they are burned out. If the light bulbs are burned out, replace them with new light bulbs.
