1. Turn off the engine, engage the parking brake and remove the key from the ignition.
2. Open the hood by pulling the hood release lever underneath the dashboard under the steering column.
3. Locate the battery. The battery is located on the left (driver side) of the engine bay.
4. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery by loosening the bolt using a 13 mm wrench. Be careful not to touch the positive terminal post with the negative terminal post.
5. Disconnect the positive cable from the battery by loosening the bolt using a 13 mm wrench.
6. Remove the battery hold down clamp by loosening the bolt using a 13 mm wrench and lift out the battery.
7. Check to see if the cables terminals are clean and free from corrosion. If needed clean them with a wire brush and reinstall them.
8. Install the new battery by placing it into the battery compartment and replace the battery hold down clamp and tighten it.
9. Connect the positive terminal to the new battery by placing the connector to the terminal and hand tighten the bolt.
10. Connect the negative terminal to the new battery by placing the connector to the terminal and hand tighten the bolt.
11. Double check that both wires are tight then Close the hood.
