- Open the hood.
- Remove the negative battery terminal.
- Remove the air filter housing.
- Locate the thermostat housing on the front of the engine, just below the upper radiator hose.
- Remove the two bolts holding the thermostat housing in place.
- Remove the thermostat housing and gasket.
- Inspect the thermostat for damage or defects.
- Replace the thermostat if necessary.
- Reinstall the thermostat housing and gasket.
- Reinstall the air filter housing.
- Reattach the negative battery terminal.
- Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
- Check for leaks.
